- Many housekeeping issues, Web Links, and minor changes have been made. Due to the overwhelming amount of Spam that I have been receiving, I have made changes to all of the Mailto: links on my web site. These links are no longer directly coded as html in my web pages. Direct coding makes it easy for web-bot programs that roam the internet gleaning email addresses, to find and add my name to the databases that eventually end up in the hands of spammers. Instead, all my email links are now coded as obfuscated JavaScript.

- I've added the ATF Form 5330.20 to the collection of downloadable, electronic data entry, NFA Forms available on this web site. NOTE: Starting Immediately, all Form 4 NFA transfers must be accompanied with a completed 5330.20. Failure to include the form with your transfer paperwork WILL cause an unnecessary delay in processing the transfer.

- Once again I have to apologize for the unavoidable delay in updating the
UTGP. At the beginning of June, both my computer system, and my
body experienced a major malfunction. I was taken to the hospital and
had to undergo emergency surgery to have about a foot of small intestine removed.
This was due to complications from a condition called Meckel's Diverticulum. Of
course, the very night before this happened, my 500 MHz, Win98SE, P3 Gateway
PC was totally reduced to a pile of rubble due to the installation of some
unbelievably destructive -and in my opinion, very poorly designed- software
drivers that came with a U.S. Robotics external V.92 Fax Modem that I bought
as a replacement for a similar model modem I had been using. As a
senior software engineer, and one who designs Microsoft Windows computer
programs for a living, I have never seen a piece of software so effectively
disable a PC as the U.S. Robotics drivers that came with my modem. My
PC was so totally fried, that I finally had to accept the fact that a
complete re-format of the hard drive and re-installation of MS Windows would
be my only recourse. However, on the bright side, since my PC
was more than three years old, I decided to replace it with a newer 2.53
GHz, 1.0 Gb Ram, 120 Gb HD, WinXP Pro Gateway Model 700XL PC. To
make a long story short, the past two months have been spent recuperating
from surgery, and recovering from the PC meltdown inflicted on me by 3COM /
U.S. Robotics.

- Updated the Electronic NFA Forms. All of the downloadable forms have been updated. The ATF Form 4 has been replaced with the newest version dated 8-2000. Also, all forms have been converted into stand alone form programs. You no longer need the Omniform software to load and use these forms.
