BUTTSTOCK INLAYS BY KEITH WHITE

If you have a M1928A1 or M1A1 crossbolt buttstock, here's a suggestion to help "dress up" your Thompson for display. Remove the bolt and washers and replace same with pennies from the war years, 1941-1945. The 1943 steel penny looks especially attractive on a World War II gun. A little dab of Elmer's glue holds the cent piece in place. Whenever you wish to reinstate the crossbolt, simple remove the slide and poke the pennies out through the bolt channel in the slide cavity.
